1982 Colt comp 1911 by Jim Stroh (I think) out of Alpha Precision. I missed this gun in an auction earlier this month, but I was able to get it when the dealer who bought it put it back up for sale on GB. I wasn’t going to miss it twice. This gun, in high polish blue over flawless brushed hard chrome, is fit with a match grade Kart barrel, Bomar low mount sight (that he polished), flawless checkering on the front strap and MSH, frame, rear of slide, and trigger guard, screw on the frame to adjust trigger pre travel, dual comp flawlessly blended, swaged magwell, jeweled trigger and hammer, thumb guard— it’s all there and it’s flawlessly executed. These 80s custom comp guns are just smithed! It’s a cliche to say it but I must. They just don’t make em like this anymore. I love this gun. Can anyone tell me anything about it? I’m 98% Jim Stroh built it but I would love to know for sure.
