An Illinois judge Friday ordered local teen Kyle Rittenhouse – who is charged in the shooting deaths of two protesters in Kenosha, Wisc. – to be extradited across the border to stand trial on homicide charges.

Lake County Circuit Court Paul Novak denied the 17-year-old suspect’s request for release and ruled that his claims of self-defense in connection with the Aug. 25 incident must be raised in a Wisconsin court.

Rittenhouse had appeared in court hours earlier for an extradition hearing, where his lawyers argued for his release. The judge then released his written decision.

During the hearing, Rittenhouse’s lawyers did not call any witnesses, even though they indicated that they may call upon his mother and four experts, including a lawyer who specializes in self-defense cases, to eventually testify.

Rittenhouse’s lawyers alleged technical errors in the paperwork behind their teen’s detention in Illinois.

The Lake County state’s attorney countered that the paperwork was in order and that Rittenhouse should be extradited to Wisconsin.

Shortly after Novak’s ruling, Lake County sheriff’s deputies drove Rittenhouse to the border and handed him over to deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing Sgt. Christopher Covelli of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Rittenhouse of Antioch, Ill., was charged by Wisconsin prosecutors with six criminal counts — including first-degree intentional homicide and attempted homicide – for shooting dead two Black Lives Matter protesters in Kenosha and injuring a third person.

  1. A. He needs to be out of captivity, well fed and some whores to comfort him (or some nice girls) whichever he prefers.
    B. He needs something to the equivalent of a “witness protection” with new identity, because lefties have a price on his head for defending himself.
    C. He’s now qualified to teach self defense classes.

  2. Hmmm, I WONDER why he is being persecuted and prosecuted. Lemme guess,…..the Chinese Communist Party, right?
They really want to come after him for killing their agent Joseph ROSENBAUM. Yeah, man, you know how the Chinese run the US media, courts, judicial, financial and political system. Yep, the Chinese are clearly behind it all……..

  3. I have hope given the level of citizen support for the young man/financial and legal support also.

I am ashamed as a older adult a young man just starting out in life had to deal with this,we all to a large degree dropped the ball.

We all need to work on our country so in the future brave actions like Kyles are for most part never needed.
