Saying ALM Gets You Killed Now, Act Accordingly

Jessica Doty Whitaker was walking with her partner Jose Ramirez and two friends at 3am on July 5 when they came across four men and a woman and an argument broke out.

The groups clashed over language and the Black Lives Matter movement, WTHR reported.

“I’ll never probably ever get that image out of my head of what happened,” Ramirez told the local news station.

According to Ramirez, the groups got into a racially charged argument, and one man pulled out a gun, and so Ramirez did too.

One article, published by the Daily Wire, reported that Doty Whitaker had said “all lives matter” to the group, who allegedly were supporters of the BLM movement.

I guess they taught her that not all lives matter after all.

“The Daily Wire spoke to Mr. Doty [Doty Whitaker’s father] to confirm,” the article reads.

“‘Yes that is accurate,’ Doty said when asked if his daughter said ‘all lives matter’ during the argument about BLM.”

Following the argument, the groups managed to talk things over and both parties walked away.

But minutes later, shots rang out along Canal Court.

“I was actually holding her when it happened,” Ramirez said. “She just fell. I turned around, and I opened fire too. But that’s just a reaction. I didn’t see nobody. Hopefully, it didn’t hit nobody.”

He told Fox59: “It was squashed and they went up the hill and left we thought, but they were sitting on St. Claire waiting for us to come under the bridge and that’s when she got shot.”

  1. I saw a few places agitating with this headline. Then I saw it occurred during a “walk at 3AM.” I guarantee this is not the full story.

A respected author used to note nothing good happens after a certain time of night and the inevitable “dindu nuffin” of those who find themselves in these situations…

    • for sure , as Kevin’s old Sargent use to say, ” nothing good happens after 200AM” and if you are out walking around that area of a shithole like NYC then you are partly responsible for your own demise

    • My CCW instructor said the best advice he could give was, “Avoid doing stupid things, with stupid people, in stupid places, at stupid times, and you will avoid 99%+ of the situations where you might need your gun.”

This incident seems to qualify for at least half of those criteria.

  2. This was a case of a young white woman thinking that she’s immune from violence because, well, she’s a white woman.

When I lived and worked in the LA area in the 80’s, when street violence was real, the sense of outrage and of offense that violence could happen to white women was hilarious to see. And this was in the era when white women didn’t “do” guns, and any woman who did “do guns” was quite suspect.

This young woman, being abroad, unarmed, in an area where BLM “protestors” are on the loose, at 3AM… just wasn’t that bright. Her sad tale reminds me of lots of tales by white women I heard in LA in the late 80’s.

  3. I saw some hurtful statements glorifying her death. This is horrible, may God forgive those who did this. Bless her soul, bless her family and friends.
