I’ve never seen one of these with my own eyes. About as rare as woodpecker teeth.

  1. I saw one of the deluxe sporters at the now closed Chabot Range in the Oakland Hills circa 1969.
    A real pretty little rifle.
    That same year I had a chance to shoot a muzzle loader for the first time, it belonged to a reenactor, a short land pattern brown bess dated “Tower 1769”.

  2. Gotta wonder how much more expensive the ammo was compared to surplus .30 Carbine.
    God, I wish I lived in those times when the latter was as cheap as .22
