The outlook for the virus pandemic is worsening across the country, with more than twenty states reporting case numbers at or near record levels. As cases rise, so do anxieties among consumers who have already started panic hoarding for the second time this year as the COVID winter approaches.
As the panic hoarding begins, food makers are prepared this time, unlike the first round that started in March, which resulted in widespread shortages of food products.
Bloomberg notes General Mills, Campbel Soup, Conagra Brands, and Stonyfield Farm have expanded internal and external product lines this summer to prepare for another panic wave of buying.
“America’s food-makers are determined not to get caught flatfooted again. Many companies left sales on the table this spring when they couldn’t ramp up production fast enough for the dried pasta and canned soups that skittish consumers were stockpiling. Food producers used a calmer summer to assess the new grocery landscape and rework their strategies. Now, with Covid-19 cases climbing again and big holiday meals getting closer, investors are waiting to see whether it will be enough,” Bloomberg said.
According to Centricity Inc., a firm that tracks online search activity, panic hoarding for the second time this year is underway. They said demand for baking goods in the three weeks through Oct. 13 spiked 3,400% from a year earlier.
“That’s less than the 6,000% jump that preceded the first wave of pantry loading,” said Centricity’s chief executive officer Mike Brackett, adding that he expects this round will include other products besides canned goods and other staples.
“In the last three to four weeks, we’ve seen very drastic increases, similar to how we did with the first wave of the pandemic,” Brackett said.
The second round of panic hoarding comes as new COVID-19 daily cases have been steadily increasing since September. Even though food companies are prepared, shortages will likely be seen at US supermarkets, and or buying limitations will be placed on items.
Paul Gianetto, senior vice president of sales and merchandising of Raley’s Supermarkets, told Bloomberg that only 70% to 75% of its orders are being filled, which is much better from the 40% at the heart of the pandemic. He said his department must order more private-label brands to thwart customers from wiping shelves clean.
“There is definitely a lot of hoarding that’s being anticipated that’s already causing a little strain,” Gianetto said in an interview. “The real thick of it is going to be those 10 to 14 days prior to Thanksgiving.”
Vivek Sankaran, chief executive officer of Albertsons Cos., which operates Safeway, Vons, and other grocery chains, said certain products ahead of Thanksgiving are near impossible to find.
“It’s still difficult to get items like cleaning sprays and wipes, hot dogs and flour,” Sankaran said.
“There will be greater demand this holiday season than last holiday season. We’re increasing the amount of supply,” he said.
General Mills told Bloomberg that its inventories won’t normalize until June 2021 as the virus has triggered panic hoarding and supply chain disruptions this year.
Sean Connolly, chief executive officer at Healthy Choice parent Conagra, said:
“We are pretty much selling everything we can make… As long as demand remains very elevated, and if there is an additional uptick, that will just further stretch the supply that can be produced.”
So the question readers need to be asking: How prepared are food companies for another round of panic hoarding?
A perfect storm is brewing of not just supermarkets but also food banks nationwide could experience food shortages during the COVID winter. Food insecurity could become a major issue in the months ahead.
You may initially read this article and find that it is partisan and unfairly targets the Democratic Party. We urge you to look beyond that initial reaction at the facts, not the emotions. Chaos is inevitable after this election, regardless of who is declared the winner. This gives you a glimpse at a powerful group that has been “war-gaming” the situation and their predicted outcomes. As a person who wishes to be prepared, it’s important to know these things so that you can be ready for something that seems to be a planned event.
Authored by Robert Wheeler,
The Transition Integrity Project (TIP) was launched to identify potential risks to the integrity of the November 3, 2020 election process. TIP conducted a series of war games in the summer of 2020, exploring what could possibly go wrong regarding the election. Once risks were identified, the group conducting these war games hoped to find solutions to mitigate those risks.
These simulated “war games” were conducted by a group of Democratic Party insiders, former Obama and Clinton officials, and a number of “Never Trumpers”. TIP justified these exercises as preparation for a Trump loss, and a subsequent refusal by Trump to concede the election.
However, TIP’s report published on August 3, 2020, shows a different story.
In light of this and other studies, no matter where you live, we suggest getting your home ready for the potential of civil unrest and riots and stocking up on emergency food and supplies.
Are these simulations actually manipulating the outcome of the elections?
On the TIP site, it states the goal of the project was to ensure that the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election was legitimate. However, the ties with the Obama administration and pro-Biden groups raises concern that the group is actually planning to ensure the crisis they claim to be attempting to prevent with the simulations.
Whitney Webb writes in an article published on Unlimited Hangout:
…according to TIP’s own documents, even their simulations involving a “clear win” for Trump in the upcoming election resulted in a constitutional crisis, as they predicted that the Biden campaign would make bold moves aimed at securing the presidency, regardless of the election result.
Whitney’s article goes on to explain that the organizers of TIP have ties to the Obama administration, several pro-Biden groups, and the Biden campaign and that this is particularly troubling. Whitney writes:
…the fact that a group of openly pro-Biden Washington insiders and former government officials have gamed out scenarios for possible election outcomes and their aftermath, all of which either ended with Biden becoming president or a constitutional crisis, suggest that powerful forces influencing the Biden campaign are pushing the former Vice President to refuse to concede the election even if he loses.
Such concerns are only magnified by the recent claims made by Hillary Clinton, that Biden “should not concede under any circumstances.” Clinton continued during an interview with Showtime,“I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don’t give an inch, and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is.”
What are some examples of these simulated war games?
Game 3 “Clear Trump Win”, simulated not only how Republicans could use every option at their disposal to “hold onto power”, but also how Democrats could do so if the 2020 election result is not in their favor.
Joe Biden – played by John Podesta, retracted his election night concession and convinced “three states with Democratic governors – North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Michigan – to ask for recounts.” Then, the governors of Wisconsin and Michigan “sent separate slates of electors to counter those sent by the state legislature” to the Electoral College, which Trump had won, in an attempt to undermine that win.
Then, the Biden campaign encouraged Western states to secede from the Union unless the Congressional Republicans agreed to a set of structural reforms. With advice from former President Obama, the Biden campaign listed the reforms as follows:
- Give statehood to Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico
- Divide California into five states “to more accurately represent its population in the Senate”
- Require Supreme Court justices to retire at 70
- Eliminate the Electoral College
These structural reforms will lead to the U.S. having 6 additional states. These six new states will ensure a perpetual majority for Democrats because only Democrat-majority areas are given statehood. Notably, in other scenarios where Biden won the Electoral College, Democrats did not support its elimination.
The TIP claimed that the Trump campaign would seek to paint these “provocative, unprecedented actions” as “the Democrats attempting to orchestrate an illegal coup,” despite the fact that that is essentially what those actions entail.
The Biden campaign “provoked a breakdown in the joint session of Congress by getting the House of Representatives to agree to award the presidency to Biden. The Republican party did not consent, noting that Trump had won the election through the electoral college victory.
This simulation ended with no president-elect being inaugurated on January 20.
Who are the people involved in TIP and who are they associated with?
The article written by Webb reveals that Brooks was an advisor to the Pentagon and the Hillary Clinton-led State Department during the Obama administration. She was also previously the general counsel to the President of the Open Society Institute, which is affiliated with the Open Society Foundations (OSF). Zoe Hudson also has ties to OSF, serving as senior policy analyst and liaison between the foundations and the U.S. government for 11 years.
OSF ties to the TIP are a red flag for a number of reasons, namely due to the fact that OSF and other Soros-funded organizations played a critical role in fomenting so-called “color revolutions” to overthrow non-aligned governments, particularly during the Obama administration. Examples of OSF’s ties to these manufactured “revolutions” include Ukraine in 2014 and the “Arab Spring,” which began in 2011 and saw several governments in the Middle East and North Africa that were troublesome to Western interests conveniently removed from power.
As reported by Webb, Nils Gilman, co-founder of TIP and the current VP of Programs at the Berggruen Institute, is particularly focused on artificial intelligence and transhumanism. Gilman recently told the New York Times that his work at the Berggruen Institute is focused on “building [a] transnational networks of philosophers + technologists + policy-makers + artists who are thinking about how A.I. and gene-editing are transfiguring what it means to be human.”
Is there a list of TIP participants?
This question is taken directly from the TIP website. Here is the answer given:
To ensure candid contributions, the Transition Integrity Project’s exercises were conducted under Chatham House Rules, under which participants were free to talk about their own role in the exercises and their general observations, but were asked to respect the confidentiality of other participants. Some of our participants have chosen to write or give interviews about their experiences during the exercise, however. You can see some examples below:
- Ed Luce, “How America could fail its democracy test” Financial Times
- Max Boot, “What if Trump loses but insists he won?” Washington Post
- Jennifer Granholm talks to CNN
- David Frum, “Where the System May Break,” The Atlantic
- Rosa Brooks, “Trump Could Refuse to Concede,” The Washington Post
- Nils Gilman, “Getting from November to January,” The American Interest
Unofficial TIP spokesperson claims there is reason to be worried.
Though he is not mentioned in the list, Lawrence Wilkerson has been the most outspoken of all the participants. He has done most of the media interviews promoting TIP and its “War Games”. Wilkerson said in an interview in June with Paul Jay that aside from their “war games,” the other TIP activities are confidential.
Wilkerson specifically stated: “There is some confidentiality about what we agreed to, and what we’ve put out publicly, and who’s responsible for that, and other aspects of our doing that. The Transition Integrity Project is to this point very, very close, whole, and confidential.”
In that same interview, Wilkerson also noted that the current “combination of events” involving the recent unrest in several U.S. cities, the coronavirus crisis, the national debate over the future of policing, the economic recession and the 2020 election was the foundation for a revolution in the U.S. He told Jay:
“I want to say this is how things like 1917 and Russia, like 1979 and Tehran, and like 1789 in France. This is how these sorts of things get started. So we’ve got to be very careful about how we deal with these things. And that worries me because we don’t have a very careful individual in the White House.”
That last quote is chilling because America is indeed heading in the direction of Russia in 1917. That revolution saw the death of 70 million people.
Where is all this headed, and who benefits from these scenarios?
Webb hazards a guess when she states:
The question then becomes, who benefits from complete chaos on and following the 2020 election? As the TIP suggested in several of their simulations, the post-election role of the military in terms of domestic policing, incidentally the exact expertise of the TIP’s co-founder Rosa Brooks, looms large, as most of the aforementioned doomsday election simulations ended with the imposition of martial law or the military “stepping in” to resolve order and oversee the transition.
The domestic framework for imposing martial law in the U.S., via “continuity of government” protocols, was activated earlier this year under the guise of the coronavirus crisis and it remains in effect. Now, a series of groups deeply tied to the Washington establishment and domestic and foreign intelligence agencies have predicted the exact ways in which to engineer a failed election and manipulate its aftermath.
Who would stand to benefit the most from the imposition of martial law in the United States? I would argue that one need look no further than the battle within Washington power factions over the future of AI…
The last line of Webb’s article states: “By keeping Americans angry and distracted by the partisan divide through pre-planned election chaos, a “New America” waits in the wings – one that is coming regardless of what happens on election day. That is, of course, unless Americans quickly wake up to the ruse.” The media is great at inciting division, both here and in other countries.
This grim vision of the future has been warned about by other researchers in the past. November 3 is approaching quickly and so is the technological control grid and all the chaos that will bring it to pass. Being prepared for civil unrest is essential.
I don’t personally have much hope for the future. But one thing is for certain – it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
A B-ARFCOM member has an interesting post tonight worth sharing
The reason for this post is to shed light on a by-design ANTIFA tactic.
Disclaimer: This information comes from undercover law enforcement currently working within ANTIFA. I was given permission to post this information as a potential lifesaving measure, but will be limited in any deeper information or what I can share that might serve to identify my sources or put open investigations at risk.
In order to fully understand this tactic, we must understand the cycle of terrorism for political change.
1) terrorist commits a terrorist act
2) public fear response
3) law enforcement/government overreaction
4) people dissatisfied with government and more angry/frightened
5) fringe elements of disenfranchised flock to join terrorist ranks
6) divide and conquer, remaining populace is weakened and terrorists gain more power
7) cycle repeats
ANTIFA isn’t out in the streets rioting and breaking shit in order to score maximum enemy casualties. That’s why we see them and have fantasies of easily wading through bodies when the time comes.
This isn’t a stand-up fight. It never will be. This is a fucking bug hunt.
Instead, ANTIFA provokes and prods, slowly escalating and daring the police and citizens to hit back. They want a perceived overreaction on camera that they can show to America and draw more retards to their cause.
“COME AND SEE THE VIOLENCE INHERENT IN THE SYSTEM!!! HELP HELP I”M BEING REPRESSED!”
When police and citizens get down to work and start kicking ass it is a beautiful thing. But ANTIFA thinks it will make them stronger.
If they can use lawfare to make government crackdowns negatively affect normal citizens, they win.
Enter “The Changeup”. No I didn’t come up with the name. The name and the tactic are widespread enough in ANTIFA circles that it’s safe to use it without burning my sources.
Elements of The Changeup:
1) provoke a citizen into going hands-on or preferably drawing a weapon on an ANTIFA
2) Kill said citizen
3) get it on camera
4) do it in a way that results in shooting deemed justified
Goals of The Changeup:
1) kill a “right-wing racist”
2) sow distrust between right-wing and law enforcement/government when shooting deemed justified
3) create fear in ordinary citizens to prevent them from interfering with future ANTIFA rallies/riots
4) influence gun policy -particularly stand your ground laws and CCW to negatively affect right-wing gun nuts (common example in ANTIFA discussions is to prevent another Trayvon Martin)
5) Draw more fringe elements to ANTIFA cause by possibly holding up a victim
It’s important to note here that the ANTIFA worldview and rhetoric plays into this tactic. In particular, they see us as violent cowboys and American gun laws as unfairly influenced to give gun owners license to wander around shooting people of color. Their simplistic and erroneous view of self-defense law in general informs their tactics.
In order for this to be maximally effective, they have to force a situation where the citizen is the aggressor.
Also to note that while this fits the legal definition of a conspiracy, it’s because ANTIFA commies are collectivists, they take a team approach to this shit. It shouldn’t be discredited as a reptilian whack theory just because someone said “conspiracy”
1) Agitator- this is the hype man that gets in your face and acts like an asshole
2) Citizen -that’s you. Ideal target is white, male, armed, wearing patriotic apparel, and clearly there to oppose ANTIFA
3) Samaritan – since the Agitator may be perceived as starting the fight, the Samaritan must be the one to end it
4) The Observer – someone ANTIFA aligned to document and release pictures/video that shows the civilian as the aggressor and exonerates both the Agitator and Samaritan as within their legal rights
How it Works:
1) Agitator starts a confrontation in a public and non-dynamic environment (not a running battle or march where the video is dicey -they want a clear visual and sound byte for the news)
2) Citizen takes the bait – in particular, they want someone to raise a firearm
3) Agitator may at this point utter a code phrase or call for help. (more on this later)
4) Observer begins filming if they haven’t already
5) Samaritan moves in from flank or behind and kills Citizen
The narrative is that the Samaritan observed Citizen was about to kill/harm the Agitator and acted in defense of the Agitator who, while an asshole, did nothing illegal and only exercised his free speech against racists. All of this is backed up by the Observer’s very lucky perfectly framed video evidence.
It seems that the chosen code phrase has been “shoot me n****r!” in both of these incidents. Fortunately, while both ultimately ended in shootings, neither went according to plan resulting in a successful “Changeup” nor accomplished the narrative shifting goals of this play. Mostly because this whole play sucks and Agitators jumped the gun, Samaritans either held back (Kenosha) or were prevented from “defending” Agitator and decided to go loud when confronted (Denver)
Agitator -Joseph Rosenbaum seen jumping around trying to get multiple patriots to fight him shouting “shoot me n****r” over and over
Samaritan – Joshua Joseph Ziminski aka Alex Blaine – seen milling around near Rosebaum during his Agitator act with handgun drawn. Appears to say something to Rosenbaum at one point.
Citizen -no one takes the bait, “The Changeup” is abandoned – Agitator and Samaritan move on to mayhem resulting in Kyle shooting Rosenbaum in self-defense (NOT a Changeup play)
Observer -unknown, possibly Ziminski’s wife who can be seen in the crowd
Agitator – Jacob Lebron Kelly -prominent shit-stirrer, utters “shoot me n****” code word as Lee engages with him
Samaritan – Matt Doloff -moves to assist Agitator who has uttered code word. It’s go time
Citizen -Lee or others in his group. whoever the Agitator gets to make a move. Lee notices Matt moving in and moves to block him from the group -Matt Shoots Lee dead in scuffle
Observer – 9News team -gets Matt shooting Lee, but fails to get a confrontation where Matt saves Kelly from Citizen assault.
Some of this is my interpretation when viewed through the lens of “The Changeup” play that was created and attempted by ANTIFA on at least these two occasions.
ANTIFA is trying for a “justified” defense shooting to kill patriotic citizens, ruin our morale, and weaken the public perception of CWP and stand your ground laws harming lawful gun owners.
Be very careful when engaging with a loud-mouthed ANTIFA shit-stirrer. Watch their eyes and check your six. They may have abandoned or altered this play. But you could very well have an ANTIFA Samaritan moving in on you in hopes you will “fuck around and find out”.
End public service announcement.
Cameras are everywhere…
Do you have a cell phone? Unless it’s an old antiquated flip phone, there’s a camera. Public parks, roadways, the parking garage at your favorite shopping center, police officers wearing body cameras, school…they are everywhere.
There was a time when Americans viewed the presence of security cameras in a private business as a creepy Orwellian intrusion into their private lives. They didn’t want to be recorded and watched as they did their shopping or when they went into the bank to cash their paychecks. Those days came and went and Americans accepted and adapted those cameras.
Then along came public surveillance cameras and traffic light cameras. And, once again people felt their lives were being infringed upon. Not only were private businesses still conducting the surveillance, but the government was now watching too. This left many people feeling as though their privacy rights had been taken away from them.
All that changed when 9/11 happened. Suddenly Americans couldn’t be stopped from stuffing their concerns over privacy as far down the toilet bowl as they could.
Two decades later the “Privacy Train” has left the station.
Everywhere we go, there are cameras. Whether it be a camera in a retail store, at a stoplight, inside a hospital, inside an Uber car, inside a restaurant, possibly even inside your own home. Oh, and let’s not forget the doorbell cameras. like the ones surveilling the entire neighborhood without their consent. If you have a smartphone, it’s tracking everywhere you go and that data is being used to compile incredibly detailed information about you.
Cameras are everywhere…including in our own hands. While the images being posted on social media may just be static images, they are still pictures of someone who may not even know that image was posted.
According to Social Media Statistics 2020: Top Networks by the Number Facebook alone has over 300 million photos uploaded DAILY.
People are not only being recorded, they are recording themselves and one another.
And this may sound like some crazy high-tech thing that doesn’t really affect us personally, but consider the ramifications on OPSEC if your every move is tracked and your every purchase is documented.
You won’t believe how often the typical American is recorded every day.
An article published by the Daily Mail reports that the typical American is recorded by security cameras 238 times a week. The information was obtained from Safety.com whose security team conducted a study on surveillance technology. That figure includes:
- Video taken at work: average employee spotted on cameras 40 times per week
- Video taken on the road: Americans are filmed 160 times while driving
- Video taken in stores
- Video taken in homes and neighborhoods: 14 times per week
For Americans who travel a lot or who work in “highly patrolled areas,” the number of times they are recorded on film could reach over 1000 times per week. According to the research, it can be difficult to know how many traffic cameras are passively filming or permanently storing footage. Another result of the study was that people underestimate how often they are recorded.
A survey from IPVM in 2016 found that most people assumed they were being recorded less than five times a day. The example of a typical day was taken from that report:
This example is a running total, including the number of cameras likely present at each stop:
- 8:00AM: 4 Cameras – Get a cup of coffee – 4 cameras in Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts
- 8:30AM: 24 Cameras – School or office – cameras in parking lot and interior, you will be picked up at various angles by 20 cameras at least.
- 12:15PM: 30 Cameras – Stop at ATM before lunch for cash. Bank will have exterior cameras, ATM will have close-up camera
- 12:30PM: 38 Cameras – Go get lunch – 4 cameras at lunch spot, plus 4 more easily ay surrounding businesses
- 5:00PM: 45 Cameras – Leave work, go to gym to work out. Camera at check-in desk, plus in 6-8 in workout area
- 5:45PM: 46 Cameras – Stop to pick up dry cleaning. Camera at front register
- 6:00PM: 52 Cameras – Stop for gas. Cameras at pumps and in store
- 6:15PM: 54 Cameras – Quick car wash. Cameras at entry and in-bay
- 7:00PM: 58 Cameras – Pick up kids from practice/game. Cameras in school parking lot or on building exterior
Lawmakers and civil rights advocates are concerned about the growing state of surveillance.
But, of course, civil rights advocates do not have a real voice in American society. And, lawmakers are the ones who have facilitated the surveillance state, to begin with. So, unfortunately, if you are someone who was hoping to get back some of your rights, don’t hold your breath.
Dan Avery, author of the article on the Daily Mail writes reports that by next year, there will be approximately one billion security cameras operating around the globe. And 10 to 18 percent of them will be in the United States. In 2019, with 70 million cameras in the US, there was at least one security camera for every 4.6 Americans, putting the US as the second-highest ratio. China, being the first, has 4.1 cameras per person. (China, of course, is the country most infamous for social credit scores but many believe that the US is not far behind.)
Some people advocate these surveillance cameras as a vital tool for safety and security, and an important law enforcement device. However, in an article on All Together concerns about inequality, false results, and unethical use of this technology:
“There’s strong evidence that many of the systems in deployment are reflecting and amplifying existing forms of inequality,” said Sarah Myers West, a postdoctoral researcher at AI Now Institute, an interdisciplinary research center at New York University dedicated to understanding the social implications of artificial intelligence. “For this reason, it’s critical that we have a public conversation about the social impact of AI systems, and AI Now’s work aims to engage in research to inform that conversation.”
Joy Buolamwini, an MIT graduate, AI researcher, and computer scientist, provided firsthand research to inform the conversation. Buolamwini, a Ghanaian American, wrote a thesis, “Gender Shades,” in 2017, after she was misidentified while working with facial analysis software. The software didn’t detect her face until she put on a white mask, she said, “because the people who coded the algorithm hadn’t taught it to identify a broad range of skin tones and facial structures.” The software returned worse results for women and darker-skinned persons.
“We often assume machines are neutral, but they aren’t,” she said in a Time magazine essay about her discoveries. Her thesis methodology uncovered large racial and gender bias in AI services from such companies as Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon. In response, Buolamwini founded the Algorithmic Justice League to “create a world with more ethical and inclusive technology.”
Owners of smart home security cameras may be in jeopardy.
Those smart home security cameras may not make you as safe as you thought they would.
Some popular home security cameras could allow would-be burglars to work out when you’ve left the building, according to a study published Monday.” CNN Business
An International study carried out by Queen Mary University of London and the Chinese Academy of Science discovered they could tell if someone was home, and even what they were doing in the home, just by looking at data uploaded by their home security camera, without monitoring the video footage itself. And of course as we just published, the microphones embedded in your smart devices can record you and are being used more and more often by police.
An article written by Brandon Turbeville in 2011,“New Report: ‘Recording Everything’ Details How Governments Can Shape The Dynamics Of Dissent,” details how this data is being stored, at a surprisingly low cost to do so.
According to Turbeville, given the prices (in 2011) and the projected decrease in cost in the future, the United States would be able to store the location data of everyone in the country for a whole year for approximately $18,000, the cost of a low-wage job.
The average American is now videotaped and recorded more times in a day than a Hollywood star fifty years ago.
Clearly, we are no longer entering a “growing” surveillance state, we are already in one.
