The USMC is adopting a 1-8 Power Trijicon VCOG as an optic to be used on the M4A1 and M27 IAR. The Corps intends to buy up to 19,000 of these scopes. While this scope is an ugly and heavy piece of kit, I’m sure it will get the job done. Trijicon products tend to work.
Geeze that thing looks huge. but I guess thats for grunt proofing it.
I’ve had a bit of experience with a 1-6 VCOG and I thought it was a brick. Amazing optic but too heavy to have to carry around all day. I believe the 1-8 is even heavier. Having said that, I’ve never handled an LPVO that seemed tougher.
I don’t want no teenaged queen,
I just want to carry this heavy-assed M14 around on ops all day.
