Now here is one you really don’t hear every day. A lesson in perseverance and determination. Very inspiring.
A man appeared to have fatally sliced his own neck with a hacksaw under Central Park’s Glade Arch walkway, cops said Tuesday.
NO one can say he didn’t want it bad enough.
A runner discovered the body of the 41-year-old man face-up, with a cut on his neck, on the ground under the arch at East 79th Street and East Drive — around the corner from a playground — around 10 a.m. Monday and called 911, police said.
He had a hacksaw in his left hand, covered in his own blood, authorities said. Bad Ass!
“Based off the wounds that he had, it appears as if he sawed his neck open,” an NYPD spokesman said. Nice work detective.
A preliminary investigation does not indicate any signs of foul play or assault, though the city medical examiner’s office will officially determine the man’s cause of death.
No suicide note was found at the scene, according to police.
I can make a compelling argument that the kind of man that hates life so much that he hack saws his own neck open doesn’t give much of a shit about leaving an explanation.
