A Boy And His Rifle ( Part 11) Old Gun Ads

Can you even imagine that now?

  1. God I wish I could start teaching my oldest. My grandfather and dad was his age when he started riding around town with their little .22s just like those ones. And I was just a tad older when I first went to the range. He just doesn’t seem to have the disposition for it. Extremely smart but emotionally volatile. Oh well that’s why we had a spare I guess.

    • You could just tell him that you would like him to experience the joy of going to the range but until he demonstrates a pattern of level headed maturity you can’t take him. Provide some incentive for making good choices. I don’t know how old your oldest is but I credit the Boy Scouts for helping me grow in responsibility or maturity.
