Attendee Killed By Security Guard In Denver AT Patriot Rally

The shooter has been reported to be a bodyguard for a local news reporter with no affiliation to Antifa, according to the Denver Police. Sure.

The private security guard in custody was contracted through Pinkerton by 9NEWS. It has been the practice of 9NEWS for a number of months to contract private security to accompany staff at protests.

DPD originally took two people into custody and later found the second individual, a 9NEWS producer who works in the investigative unit, was not involved in the incident. The producer is no longer in police custody and is not a suspect. –9News

It appears that during an altercation, the Patriot rally attendee slapped the bodyguard, who pulled his gun, got maced, then fired on the man.

  1. Having done this sort of work before (deliberately never news crew babysitting…doesn’t pay enough and is begging for trouble), I can tell you that if you strike most of these people, then pepper spray them, you’re getting shot…

Dunno what lead up to this, and certainly soft hands and verbal skills *should* allow you to get the principal out of the area without shooting anyone…buuut, if you spray somebody who has a gun, and get surprised that your brain is herniating before you hit the ground, that was your mistake.

      • That narrative is definitely being pushed, and given events lately, it’s not unlikely. Not having seen any video of what lead up to the altercation, or who was in the wrong, I won’t speculate.

I don’t need to speculate that a lot of the people that take these gigs (and they are legitimate work, and common in the industry lately. I’ve been offered several and turned them down…), will shoot someone for hitting and spraying them. Especially the guys with real guns and shooting skills. Of which the shooter apparently has both.

If he did start shit, then shoot someone, he’ll stay in jail, and lose his $1000 Glock. If he didn’t, and he did work, he’ll get some very interesting job offers.

  2. The press continue to double down on their contempt for the American public.

One day, they’ll find out that they’ve decided their futures – and they’ll claim a) surprise at the hostility shown by the public towards them, and b) this result was “Trump’s fault.”
