Modern problem require modern solutions

One of Big Brains in a facebook gun group came up with a real idea.

Just the trick for aging eyes. I’d like to know how long that chinese red dot stayed on.

  1. A Mauser’s default sights are already good for aged eyes. The rear sight is pretty far forward on the rifle.

A 1903A3, on the other hand, has a bit of an issue.

  2. The wood on that rifle looks immaculate.

My very first gun from 40+ years ago was a K98 Mauser that had been converted to 7.62×51 by the Israelis. It shot OK with iron sights in the close range brush hunting I used it for, but the wood on it was beat to hell.
