I looked up this article. Not photoshopped by an idiot. The very first part of the article explains that this rifle had been throwing the brass forward and was believed to be overgassed. The camera just happened to catch this one as it was laterally in line with the barrel.
You can see in the close-up that the barrel and the brass are in different focal planes.
I’ve been around an awful lot of M16 and M4 rifles firing a lot of ammo. I have never, ever seen one of those rifles that would eject brass in such a way that this picture could possibly have been taken. That’s a crappy Photoshop made by someone with no idea of how guns work, period.
Show me the cite for that article you describe, and I might believe someone tried passing this off as real, but without that? I’m going to go with “crappy photoshop”.
Are we all going to ignore the spelling error in the headline?
No. No, never. That’s even stupid than the stupid fake photo.
