A Rare 1941 Model 70 Target

While looking for something else, I ran across this today. A Pre war Model 70 target. Even thought that is noteworthy by itself, this is a rare one.

A 1941, mod 70 target in the 22 HORNET.

  1. I have a Hornet. With factory loads it’s nothing special. With ordinary reloads it’s nothing special. With a few tricks applied to the reloading process it’s easily my most accurate rifle. Consistent 0.5 moa from a lightweight sporter. I love that piece.

    • I owned several over the years and never could get them to shoot better than 2 inches at 50 yards. now the .218 Bee is another story, I’d walk past a million hornets for one good 218 bee

  2. Gun buyers could still have that rifle, if they would accept inflation in gun prices the same way they accept inflation in car prices.
