More Red on Red Fire At Colorado Protest Saturday

As captured by Copter4, a Jeep drives through a crowd of protesters marching on I-225 in Aurora on July 25, 2020. The protesters were calling for justice for Elijah McClain, who was killed in summer 2019 while Aurora officers had him in a chokehold. The incident spawned numerous protests in Aurora and across the country months later.

AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) – Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday night after a Jeep drove through a crowd of protesters and a weapon was fired.

At the same time the Jeep plowed through the group, police say one of the protesters shot a gun, hitting one person and grazing another.

“People were running after a car ‘aggressively’ made its way toward protestors on I-225. I heard pops, which APD say came from a protestor. That protestor shot other protestors,” said CBS Denver reporter Dillon Thomas, who was nearby. “I watched as a woman who fell off the interstate was rushed to the hospital.”

The person who was hit was last reported to be in stable condition. The person who suffered a graze wound later went to the hospital on their own.

As the night continued, protestors made their way toward the Aurora Police Department headquarters. Police report protesters knocked down a fence to the entrance of the headquarters. Police say protesters were also shooting fireworks at the building.

Aurora police say protests became unlawful when people began to throw objects, shinning lasers, and shooting large fireworks at officers.

The police department reports protesters broke windows at the courthouse and went inside the building where they started a fire inside an office at the courthouse.

The “protestors” are showing more and more willingness to use gunplay at these events. The violence is escalating and is going to get worse. I hope all of you reading this are already awake to what is coming.
