Here is something you rarely see. A Remington XP100 in 7mm BR ( Bench Rest) . This one is the Custom Shop model called the Silhoutte.
Much more attractive than the standard model with the Californian style stock treatment. The 7mmBR is a really good round but never caught on much beyond silhouette matches The heavier 7mm bullet brings down the animal shaped steel with more authority than the smaller rounds used for the purpose. 7MM-08 gained its popularity from these matches and went on to be released as a round for hunting sporters. My Dad used a Winchester Model 70 featherweight in 7MM-08 to deer hunt with for years. It seems to be in that weird limbo right now. Probably because its now in the weird middle ground between stuff that does better on each ends.
