Get your minds out of the gutter. This is a serious news story on a serious website.

The melee kicked off when Nandine Bell, 46, was buying a bag of shrimp from Pamela Freshley, 55, in the North Side of the city at about 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.

The pair started arguing, according to the report, and Freshley took the bag of shrimp and began walking away.

Bell tried to grab the bag from her, but Freshley resisted and whipped out a pair of scissors.

A common tale. A shrimp deal in the hood goes bad. Next thing you know the scissors come out and blood flows.

Bell then allegedly grabbed a stick and started beating Freshley with it, the newspaper reported. Freshley responded by stabbing her in the face with the scissors. What else are you suppose to do when some one tries to gank your bag of shrimp and shiv you in the mug with scissors?

Both women were charged with aggravated assault and held on bail.

Ain’t nobody got time for dat!

  1. I pulled into the local gas station a couple of months ago after church with my family in the car. As I pulled in, I observed an obviously homeless man standing out by the pumps, apparently re-coloring the handle of a pair of scissors with a permanent marker.

I decided I could wait to get gas.
