Virginia HOUSE BILL NO. 976

Some amusing news from Virginia this morning. A republican in the state introduced a new gun control bill. This is one of those times that may make you clap and snort in laughter. The new law would restrict the governor’s police security detail to from using any firearm not legal for regular citizens. No more of the “good for me but not for thee” i this would go through. Which it won’t because His Highness is above you and needs protection from the unwashed masses.


HOUSE BILL NO. 976 Offered January 8, 2020 Prefiled January 7, 2020 A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 52-9.3, relating to Virginia State Police; Executive Protection Unit; possession of firearms. ———- Patron– Fariss ———- Committee Referral Pending ———-

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 52-9.3 as follows:

§ 52-9.3. Executive Protection Unit; possession of firearms.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a state police officer serving on the Executive Protection Unit may possess a firearm only to the extent permitted by law for a civilian.

Not all heroes wear capes.

    And here in glorious California cops can buy firearms not on the approved list for
    “Citizens”, and resell them for a nice profit.
    Having a formal caste system is just weird, and no one calls it that…
